So I have read the archives on electric smokers, but I am soliciting current opinions on pros/cons and whatever else may be said. My Bandera was laid to rest over the winter but it lived a good life! I have been looking at the Bradley and Cookshack. I am leaning towards the Cookshack but they cost around $3000 for the nice ones (FEC100).

I was at a local BBQ joint (Super Smokers) and they use the Cookshack. It is actually a wood pellet system with gas assist so you still get smoke rings. My two main objectives are cooking in inclimate weather (cold) and wood storage. It would be nice to keep a plastic bag full of wood pellets v. a wood pile with several flavors.

Shock - The FEC cookers are great. I love mine.
You can't beat it for cooking in cold weather... being double walled, it is super efficient. IT is also very consistent across conditions... a 100 degree day, or a 20 degree day, will leave you with the same product from your FEC.
