I use oven cleaner on the really stubborn spots.

Patio Daddio was right. Used the Easy Off Oven Cleaner and it took the old "tobacco stain" looking stuff right off. It was really bad. Just would not come off at all.
Now the kettle looks better that when I bought it off of CL.

First I tried Simple Green, full strength........Strike one,
Then Greased Lightning..........Strike Two,
Then the Easy Off..........Grand Slam!!!!!

That would have been a good idea. Sorry, you'll just have to take my word for it.

I believe you, Pappy! lol I just love to see the before and after pics on stuff like this. I'm one of those cleaning nuts who gets a thrill out of seeing the difference. :crazy:
