• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I use oven cleaner on the really stubborn spots.

Patio Daddio was right. Used the Easy Off Oven Cleaner and it took the old "tobacco stain" looking stuff right off. It was really bad. Just would not come off at all.
Now the kettle looks better that when I bought it off of CL.

First I tried Simple Green, full strength........Strike one,
Then Greased Lightning..........Strike Two,
Then the Easy Off..........Grand Slam!!!!!

See for yourself.

Looks really great, Pappy! Do you have a "before" picture of the smoker?

That would have been a good idea. Sorry, you'll just have to take my word for it.

I believe you, Pappy! lol I just love to see the before and after pics on stuff like this. I'm one of those cleaning nuts who gets a thrill out of seeing the difference.

Wow.... Looks great. I'm going to try it. Will post before and after pictures. Thanks for the tip.

Will post before and after pictures.

Good thinking (before pics)

I left in on for about 20-25 min. Went over it with a soft brush and hosed it off.

I may dull the aluminum (vent, legs, ash pan)........so becareful where you spray it. I only did my lid and didn't spray the handle.
