Have an unopened bottle of Kosmos cow cover I'm wanting to try on a brisket. Anyone familiar with it that can advise if it is a good stand alone rub for brisket, or it needs layered? I noticed it has red pepper but no black pepper. Wondering of it needs an S P base....
 
I use S/P on brisket.


But our favorite steak rub is Cow Cover with Texas Beef.


Beyond that, I would suggest browsing through Kosmos videos on his YT channel.
