Take a breath!
I belong to a great charity called Cowboys for Heroes , and we purchase heads of cattle from the Jr Commercial Steer auction at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and donate the meat to our US Troops, mostly through Camp Hope here, but the week after the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, we host a Chuck Wagon Cook at Ft Sam Houston in San Antonio. We have Chuck Wagons come from all over to participate, and it is very fulfilling and an honor to be able to do this for the troops and their familes.
Me on the Fryer:
Chicken Fried Steak:
Me (far left) with the Charity founders, and The Col. in the middle:
We guesstimate close to 5000 soldiers and their familes were fed, here is the link for our website if anyone would like to know more!:thumb:
