Tonight was supposed to be leftover tri-tip, but...

So, on my way home I picked up ANOTHER Hatch chile and cheese stuffed tenderloin for tomorrow and to make myself feel better, I thought I needed a CAB Prime ribeye for tonight :becky:

Decided that asparagus was the correct veggie to pair with it and went on my way...

The beverage for tonight is a Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale (8.2% ABV and only 15 IBU, Keith, so back off! :boink:)...

Got the ribeye dusted with Ted & Barneys while I get the coals hot on the Kettle.

The 5 spice didn't really work well on the asparagus but damn was that steak spot-on!

The only knock on the steak is it seems they cut off the cap and I didn't really notice until it was on the grill....and that's my favorite part!

You do realize I can be in Denton in thirty minutes -- or less if there is prime steak and asparagus there.

I only bought one piece of beef. I can open the vents and get the rest of the asparagus on though, if you like. Just bring a steak!

I'll even share the Don Julio!

Nice! So what went down easier. ....the steak or the tequila :becky:
I think I'm gonna do up a steak Friday. Maybe I'll take some pics. I think it'll be my first with charcoal. ......

jbounds, think of it like this. Ever order steak out at a restaurant? What will you pay there? $15? $25? $60?

This Prime ribeye was $14 and absolutely better than ANY steak I have ordered out for that price, period!
