Well I finally did it, I’ve been smoking meat for 40 plus years - always did it the way Dad taught me - charcoal and chunks on a Char Broil CB940X - till ‘13 when I found the Brethren and built a UDS. And then this year I picked up a RecTec 700. Still wanted to try a stick burner and finally ran across one on a local classifieds website. Needed some love but no glaring issues, So two days work and some paint later I am ready to fire this thing up and see if I can manage a real fire.... Gonna try and emulate Lynn Dollar ‘s methodology and see what goes... here is a before and after shot...
