First time making Apple bacon. The neighbors were asking why I didn't make a bigger sampler plate... I think its a keeper.
Quarter inch slice granny smith green apple, cinnamon. Applied an old Kroger apple rub and boom. Used a couple pieces of apple smoke for good measure @235-250* for 2 1/2 hrs until IT was 160*.

You are now sadly going to have trouble eating store bought bacon... Once you make it, hard to go back... Good looking belly!
 
Others've said it... I must agree - That looks really good!

I've never made my own bacon, but you're helping push me towards the first attempt.
