Any Good Pellets at Around 50 cents / lb?

Oh wow there is an Academy Sports nearby.. $11.99 seems like a good price! How good are those B&B pellets?

Hrm if those pellets are good and can get for $11.99.. I might keep the pellet griill

I have used many brands over the last 7 years and those B&B pellets are as good as any blended pellets I have used.
Good heat and flavor with little ash.

They started at $9.95/20 lbs and just went up $2.
Sure hope they stay there.

Good Luck

I am sure they are fine. I have heard stories not of the stuff that the pellets are made of, rather it was what they used to clean and oil the machines that are used in processing the pellets.

No idea if any of this is true, probably internet rumors

No... It's true. The machines are lubricates with normal machine oils, not food grade oils and the wood typically comes from scraps or any source that they can get cheap. There is a post on here somewhere from Candy Sue, who owns a pellet manufacturing facility and she said that she wouldn't cook with the heating pellets that they make. There is a reason that food grade pellets are more expensive,
