• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Another sourdough thread!

Yes. This time I used a round rattan proofing basket and it turned out great.

Floured the cloth in the basket, then dropped the dough into it after shaping. Sadly I wasn't thinking clearly as to get it out of the basket I would have to drop it into the dutch oven. So the gnarly side would be up. So I grabbed the dough and flipped it over then let it rest for its second proof.

Then into a 450 degree oven for 30 mins, followed by 20 mins uncovered at 400 degrees.

Turned out very well. Used my lame to put a couple cuts in the top for expansion.

Thanks for looking.

Looks great! Mrs ~t~ has a couple of those baskets, I didn't think she uses the cloth cover.

Looks great! We make some sort of sourdough baked good weekly (gotta keep the starter busy).

Bet your house smells incredible! Looks delicious!

Apparently I mis-spoke. She uses the cover for smooth breads, and gets the ridges when she does not use the cover. I guess I need to pay more attention...

Looks great Dean!
Mine always turns out like this for some reason! :-)
