pork ribs membrane on or off?

Since i'm cooking ribs on their side most of time using the mini @ higher heat I'll take a picture showing the membrane melted off at the bottom where the rib bones meet the cooking grate if anyone wants to see what it looks like.

That could be a while though because i'm kinda hooded on rib tips. :heh:
 
I always peel. Or these days, I have a low-paid employee peel for me. :mrgreen:

But in all seriousness, I never saw the problem with peeling. It takes all of 30 seconds at most, and that's for the occasional difficult rack.
