I just called the City of Crestwood and Pavilion #1 is available at Whitecliff Park on June 30. You can bring your own smokers. Cost for the pavilion is $60 for non residents ($30 if someone happens to be a resident of Crestwood). I would need to go to the community center at Whitecliff to make the reservations and probably should do so soon. What say everyone? Are you up for it?

If it'll fit in the back of a YukonXL (along with my WSM22), I'll transport it!
Not into Cabo, but I can bring beer, wine, and whisky. ;)
Might even bring some "Cayman Jacks" (Thanks Toast ;) )

Ok just got off the phone with Whitecliff. They are open 7 am until 11 pm. We can bring in large pits but I need to apply for a special permit although it does not cost any extra. Still $60 for renting the pavilion area.

The gal said that June 30 is about the only weekend date that is not yet booked for the summer so we should act fast. I am thinking about going tomorrow to reserve the spot and pay the $60. Please let me know if you guys think I should pull the trigger.

I should mention they do not have electricity but hopefully that is not a big issue for anyone!

I believe the bathroom nearest to the pavilion is a Porta Potty. But there are nicer facilities in other areas of the park, which are probably best reached via car. Will be checking out the entire grounds tomorrow when I go to register. Stlsporters or others if you are available to meet there tomorrow for a recon mission let me know.

Hmmm. Maybe I should call a few too just in case. I’ve been to some nice pavilions with good bathrooms at lots of parks.

Unfortunately I can’t make the recon tomorrow. Kids baseball games. Let us know what you think after you see it. And thanks for making the run over!

So I went to Whitecliff Park this morning, checked out the pavilion area, took some pics and talked to one of the staff about reserving the spot. Bottom line is that the only pavilion area available on June 30 has a Porta Potty, but a pretty roomy one! If you desire more luxurious facilities you can drive up the hill to the community center which is about 3/10 of a mile away. If this will be a deal-breaker for folks let me know and I will not reserve the spot. But if it's a go I think we should move quickly.

Note the last pic is of the community center with the nice crappers.
