Doing an 18 lb turkey tomorrow. At 300° how long do you think it will take?
 
I would cook at 325º until the Thighs are at 180º and the Breast is at 160º. I cook mine unstuffed, stuffed will increase cooking time.

At 300* I would figure around 18 to 20 minutes per pound (unstuffed)... Raise that heat up just 25* and you could knock down the time to 11 to 13 minutes a pound (unstuffed)...
 
I say 5 or 6 but if you take the backbone out will cut your time down a lot

Those temps and times are right on.
 
My guess is 5 hours, do we win a prize if we are right? :)

Well, a little quicker than planned. Mostly around 295° on the 070 for2:45.
So in the cooler it goes temp should continue to rise. Don't know if I'll get any pics when it's carved but looks nice & juicey.
