I need to aquire 120 butts for a fund riaser cook.

the local meat market has them right now for $1.79.

is there a way to buy them wholesale or online anywhere?

problem doing that of course is where to store them.

okay, found out that $1.79 a lb was about a month ago.

Just called Kelley's (local distrubuter) and I can buy there for a current price of $1.37 lb

no restuarnt depot around me

Sams is about 45-60 minute drive. wish I could get a price check from them

Butts are generally more expensive in the spring, plus with the price of fuel right now.... $1.37 doesn't sound too bad. We bought 50 cases for a fundraiser in March and they were in the $1.20/lb range.

If it's a non-profit check with Sysco, they might even deliver the day of the event for you.

Just call sams, I had the same issue once they are pretty savy about getting you prices over the phone.

Sams is a $1.60lb.

Know a guy who used to be a sales rep from Sysco and he said they are inline with Sams or a bit higher on a few things.

Looks like Kelley's is the place for $1.37

How are you going to cook and store 120 butts properly? Forget about getting them!
