Mad Max
is One Chatty Farker
My wife has been working really hard and her company is re-organizing, their accounting system. It has been nothing but headaches, and she comes home stressed out. So I thought I do a nice thing and make dinner for her, so I defrosted a pack of spareribs, I had in the freezer, about 10.5 lbs.
I trimmed them up and got them ready for the rub.
The rub was just something I threw together, seasoned salt, brown sugar, white sugar, black pepper, garlic powder, ground mustard, adobo with cilantro and onion powder. Hit the ribs with a splash of EVOO and rubbed them down.
Meanwhile, got the UDS ready with a basket of Kingsford and pecan wood. Once the temp. was ready I sprayed the rack with Pam and placed the ribs.
The ribs were on for about 5 hours, spraying with AJ, three times during the cook. After the bend test, I knew they were ready. I foiled them and placed them in the cooler, for about 2 hours. Made some homemade sweet and vineager BBQ sauce. The wife came home late, was wondering what was the smell she had coming into the driveway. My neighbor had to chime in and ask what I was I up too now, he just knew it smelled good.
She came in with a smile on her face and asked if it was ribs, because she is hungry and was wanting some ribs. So without farther ado, I took them out of the cooler and started to cut them up.
We ate and then sat down to watch the debate, my wife fell asleep 5 minutes in. Oh well, at least I did my husbandly duty.
