You just made me blow a fuse trying to decide.

Smoking if time permits and the meat benefits of course.

Grilling if short on time or making steaks

I can't choose. I'll have to have a Weber Kettle so that I can do both. Next you'll be asking us to choose between smoking, or boiling our ribs.

Wow what a question I totally overworked my noggin on this one and would have to say grilling I can learn hot n fast for brisket and butts, but don't think I want to low n slow a steak or chops...

After a half hour self debate I went with smoking. If I chose the other I'd have to change my name to SmoothGrills.

I would say smoking. A smoked flat iron steak will make you forget about grilling for a while. And I love to grill!

Smoking.
I can sear in a frying pan but I can't smoke in an oven.

Been burning meat for over 40 years. Since finding this site, building a uds, reading what all you brethren have thought me, i will say

SMOKING

I have to pick grill. I can also find a way (sometimes a pain in the rear) way to smoke on a grill.
