Official entry post. Made some split pea soup with smoked ham hocks. Also added some pork tenderloin for some extra pork. First time cooking ham hocks. Had it in freezer from a hog that was butchered. Fall apart tender and lots of flavor.

Pics should tell most of the story. Kept it very simple.

Lawdy those pics are so big my phone won’t even allow me to pinch zoom out to see the whole things :-o

From what I can see of the tenderloins they look nice and juicy :thumb:

I may have to jump in this as soon as I figure out what I'll cook but here's a teaser from the 24th.

I cooked a pot of Navy beans and ham then added sauteed onions, carrot and celery, smashed it a few times to thicken it up. I simmered it on low with chicken stock while I made garlic, parm croutons on the stove.

I also made grilled ham and provolone/Moz cheese sammies.

Made a bowl with croutons, Prov/moz cheese, sour cream and topped with Aleppo pepper flakes. BAM!!!

I love that stringy cheesy goodness!

Seafood chowder

I got inspired by all the great looking meas above. And I had the chance to make some seafood chowder and thought I would throw my hat into the ring.
