Actually, I think Weber's wire grate with the large center cutout is a more practical option for this purpose. Much cheaper and easier meat access through that big 12" diameter center hole.

That looks like an excellent mod for 22.5 WSM. I have the PBC and cooked my first rack of ribs yesterday on it. I was amazed. No burning at all on lower part of the rack. Actually the top 3" of rack closest to the lid was a little more done than the rest of the rack.
