I was listening to NPR on my way home and came across this segment and had a change of heart.

It was one of those times when you sit in the parking lot to listen to the whole story. I figured - what the heck, I have beef and potatos at home so I can probably cobble something together so off I went.
Browned up a couple of pounds of ground beef and I found a fattie in the freezer - thawed it out and diced it up fine.
Put on some potatos to boil.
Looked in the pantry for some beef broth and instead of finding any, found some garlic and mushroom soup mix. Put that in the meat mixture with a little red wine. Topped it with the potatos, a little cheese and into a 400 degree oven for 30 minutes. This was enough for 2 pies. According to Big Al, this didn't suck.
