Sweet tea is the classic bb-q drink and I'm lookin" for some tried and true recipes from the Brethren. Also what tea bags make the best sweet tea? Thanks in advance.
:thumb::thumb::thumb:OH HELL YES!!:clap:Take a qt jar. Fill 2/3 way to top w/ Vodka add 1 cup sugar and shake till sugar is disolved.
Add 10 tea bags and set outside in the sun. Wait 3 hrs then squeeze bags. Fill the rest of the way up with WATER.
Mix 1/2 and 1/2 with lemonade. Still has sweet tea in it!

I guess no one here likes "Sun Tea"?
This is how we do "Sun Tea".
Take 3-4 family sized bags of Luzianne tea and put in a gallon size "Sun Tea" jar filled with water. Set the jar outside in the full sun for at least 4 hours.
After the teabags have set in the jar for the desired time, take the teabags out and give the tea a good stir. Add desired amount of sugar to taste then stir again. We then take a large lemon and cut half of it into thin slices and add to the tea jar. Then we take the other half of the lemon and squeeze the juice into the tea jar.
That's how we do our sweet tea ala Sun Tea.
I disagree and heres the science to prove itThis isn't very safe.
Sun Tea does not get hot enough to kill bacteria.
