I don't want people to vote Veteran based on loyalty to veterans. I want them to vote Veteran because we are clearly better cooks.

Official Noobian TD Entry #1

Got some Noobian missiles in the making to take down the S.S. Geezer later in the TD but figured I'd fire a cheap shot to the face to keep the farker fashion show at bay. We noobians would prefer to snack on vets but since they were all at the mall speed walking laps I had to throw something together instead on the WSM. Tried my second attempt at pork shoulder this weekend. First attempt tasted great but foiling robbed me of my bark, so this attempt left the foil in the drawer...until it was time to rest. I used a mix of pecan and peach.

While the pork was resting I popped in a dozen ABT's filled with garden vegetable cream cheese and wrapped in pig. The previous day I made the pasta salad so it could chill overnight. It included the pretty colored spiral pasta, cherry tomatoes, pepperoni, cubed cheese, green onions, and italian dressing. I would have added some pron on the sides but due to staying up a good portion of the night/morning messing with the WSM to get the temp dialed in (NEWB) I took a nice nap while everything was chillin out.

Once awake I pulled the pork, loaded the sides up, and opened a beer...or two...or three with some tasty whiskey. Mixed the PP with some basic vinegar sauce cut with water and slathered a light layer of homemade hickory sauce on the bun. Great weekend for daddy!
