Thing is things that are galvanized are usually dip galvanized as it is a plating and not a paint type coating. They do sell a spray type galvanize that is used as a repair but not typically used in industrial applications. Usually something that is galvanized is not painted as it takes quite a bit of prep to get paint to stick to the coating..

According to these guys anything below 500* does not
present a hazard. Correcto?
