Make sure your needles are clean as well, and they are not overly large in gage.
I was late in ordering new injectors/needles, and I had to clean up some used ones. You know you're a BBQ junkie when you are bleaching your needles.

I have actually heard that. This one was brand new, but I'll probably boil it before I use it again.
