I have both, as I do fry a lot of walleye for surfnturfs we do, I got tired of controling the oil temp for the fish with the massive propane burner and wind etc. I bought a cheap electric fryer just to fry the fish in. After years of using the propane, I couldn't be happier with the electric for the fish. And I mostly smoke turkeys over the years, frying is good, most around here prefer the smoked.
