This is how i do pizza with no expensive gadgets, cheap walmart pizza stone and two regular bricks.
I use a bucket of coal split on both sides, two bricks sideways to space the stone up, then the stone on top of the bricks.

Great idea. How long do you preheat the stone and how long does a pie usually take? And does the lid fit over your setup?

Ya lid fits perfect and lets ya get it a little hotter without burning the bottom, the stone preheated for 15 to 20 minutes and was 370f measured with infrared gun, it depends on how loaded the pie is, this one was fairly loaded and 15 inches across, pretty sure it took 18 mins, but smaller pies like a 12 or less easily are done in 10 really depends on toppings
 
Also my temps will be lower slightly because its cold and wet here in may which does affect things, i find that even the fire takes a little longer to light
