One of my dad's truck drivers gave him this old vintage berkel slicer. I don't know why he gave and it and I have NO idea why my dad took it, very unlike him since he has no want for this. He got it when I was in college so I had nowhere to put it and it's been sitting in his garage since.
5 years later I helped move it to my brothers place when he bought a home and now that I'm getting into doing all my own food and not relying on store bought deli meat/bacon/food in general, it's peaked my interest more to bring it to my home. But it's olddddd I think from the looks of it and wondering if it's worth adopting or waiting for a newer model slicer that is easier to clean/maintain/lighter? I'd probably have to store it in the garage under my work bench or on a dedicated cart cause it is heavy as balls. Here is a pic of the model?
