A jar of Blues Hog goes a long way. It isn't cheap, (bout 5 bucks a jar) but you don't need to use a lot. It will last a long time. It is super flavorful. I like to use it as a glaze and use less sauce this way.
I like KC Masterpiece (haters gonna hate) and/or Bullseye for a base, then mess with it from there. My basic sauce is pretty thin, kinda a KC/Carolina 1/2 and 1/2 so I don't use much of the cheap base sauce to get there.
