Hi guys, I'd like any and all advice to modifications to enhance my Brinkman Offset Smoker/Grill...I use wood only right now...hickory/maple/oak.....what changes will help keeping foods from cooking too quickly near the firebox and how can I lenghten the fire time before reloading....any help is GREATLY appriciated....Wi-Doe-Maker

Hey Wi Doe,
Click on the file tab at the top of this this page and then click mods. Extreamly valuable info here and the advice is proven.

Wi Doe - your first mod should be a baffle to redirect the heat from the firebox. This will allow more even heating and that really hot spot by the opening will be usable again.

Hey Wi-Doe-Maker all this advise is very good. I made the stack mod and the baffel mod. It made a big difference I get about a 2 or 21/2 hr burn time before reloading once it's going good. I have other smoker but use my brinkmen all the time for test cooks.
