you want 8 holes 1/2 inch in diameter in the lid evenly spaced in a 14 to 16 inch circle.
i go with 3 one inch holes at the bottom 3" up.

As a Volunteer Fire Fighter...I say you should call them and ask...only if you are worried about getting in trouble. If you aint worried, then burn that sucker. If you worried, call them up and ask...you may need a burn permit, or they may have actual burn days.

Now, keep in mind I said 'volunteer fire fighter'...and I live in a very rural area. Just my opinion.

But I agree with the picket sign and a lawn chair, add a rifle, and you are golden like the beer brewed in colorado.

open the bottom holes remove gauge and fill it wood burn it till it <red bad liner > flakes off then sand wife down will pam or butter or lard lol do a re burn to temp and season done get to cooking and post lots of pics
