I have been tapped on the shoulder to host Mothers Day. My sister is hosting with me so she put together a menu. See Below. Now i have a 14.5 and I am going to do my first brisket. Researched a lot here and watched some videos so my question is when should I start it for 5-6pm dinner. I was thinking 4am fire and 5am on the grill. Let me know what you think.

Apps:
Lamb chops
Cracked bread – mozz, garlic, herbs
Baked brie w/ jam

Main:
Brisket (or another meat)
Fish – cedar plank
Shrimp – grilled with pesto
German potato salad
Grilled corn on the cob\ Grilled Veggies
Tomato – sliced and baked with parm cheese

Dessert:
Pound cake with fresh berries and whipped cream
White Post Farms pie with homemade ice cream.

If I dressed as a mother, can I come? No experience on a brisket but you have an amazing list of appetizers and other accompaniments.

Personally I would not do my first Brisket for a group of people How long it takes pends on size and also Temp of the grill
Check thirdeye's blog He has a great bake brie on a plank
