How to tell it's time to clean out your firebox ash.

When the bottom of the basket leaves indents in the ash it's a safe bet it's time! ...oh the basket is 5" off the bottom. Not too bad for having been at least a couple months or better since it was emptied!

Some could but most get incinerated, When I get to to bottom it's all clean...no grease

Sprinkle a good layer of water on the ashes after each cook. After a while the corrosion will eat through the bottom of the FB and the ashes will "self empty".
