ShadowDriver
somebody shut me the fark up.
Happy Weds, folks! Woke up today to some magical frost on all the trees and shrubs outside - almost like we had freezing fog overnight.
CINCHOUSE asked for something "different" for lunch, so I made a quick run for supplies.
Here's the link (again) for Sean Brock's Husk Cheeseburger recipe and video.
As I noted back in April of 2017, you simply MUST make the sauce!
Here's a pared-down recipe for the Husk Slider Sauce (in my post above, too):
- Yield - This is enough to fill up a small jelly/jam jar, but not get too crazy.
1/2 cup Dukes Mayo
1/4 cup Yellow Mustard
2 Tbsp Ketchup
1/8 cup Pickle Relish
1/8 cup of chopped pickled jalapeño slices
1.5 tsp vinegar/pickling liquid from the jalapeños
2 Tsp Hot Sauce (I used Valentina's)
1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
We've really enjoyed these Husk Cheeseburgers in a slider format when served on King's Hawai'ian Rolls with dill pickle and "shaved" sweet onion.
Yes, I cooked these babies over charcoal in the Weber kettle vs. on the stove (significantly less clean-up, and it even started to snow a bit during the cook).
More shenanigans to come. Thanks for stopping by.
