Long time no speak…it’s been way too long since I’ve posted. Long story short…I learned so much on this site from so many great people…that knowledge allowed me to open a restaurant here in southern New Jersey. It’s called Water Dog Smoke House and we smoke/roast a ton of stuff…bbq, salmon, pastrami, etc. We opened in 2019 and it’s been crazy. I owe much of this to the wonderful people that make up the Brethren. If any of you are in the area or are planning a visit nearby, please stop in and ask for me…would love to say hi and show you around. Keep on smokin…

Beautiful food. Looks like you're working long hours posting here at 3 in the morning!

How about some pictures of your smokers and dining area? Always nice to see.

Congratulations on a successful business in a crowded industry. That's what hard work will do for you.

YOWZER,,,,U sure went all in fer sure !
The products look outstanding and the brick and mortar looks like a fun place to hangout.
Congrats and keep ‘er goin !

Awesome! But I have to ask: What the heck is a poke bar?

I didn’t know, either before we opened. My business partner’s idea…it’s Hawaiian and is a bowl with either brown or white rice or greens as a base. Then the protein which can be smoked or raw seafood, edamame and other veggies topped with one of like 5 different sauces. They’re super tasty and very popular…

I can personally vouch for Water Dog. My wife and I visited and the food was fantastic. Dan's smoked salmon is the stuff of legend. :-D

Dan was a gracious host, and kept sending samples to us while we ate.

If you visit, you HAVE to try the pastrami smoked salmon.

My very best wishes for your continuing success, Dan! :-D

Hey Dan, I passed by that place because it was raining. If I had known it was you, I would have stopped.

I'm glad to see you went brick and mortar.

I'll stop by when I get back from Texas.
