When we lived in California, tri tips were as common as the ever present avocado.

Here in NE Ohio, it is rare to see one. (An actual one, there are many mislabeled as that, but are not)

Late last week I found the elusive tri tip locally and tonight it was dinner.

Tasty!

Locally?

I have a friend in Canton. I'll send him. Please share!

The only local tri tip here is trimmed. That looks like a whopper!

Next time you're up near Akron, pop into Restaurant Depot. Around here, that's the only place I can find them.

I do pop in when I’m there, but that’s like a whole 45 minutes away, and last time they didn’t even have any

Nice find and. Nicely done John!

It's funny how regional cuts of meat can be. I almost dropped my s++t when i saw tri tip at Walmart! :-D

It was cut into strips like stir fry meat. :tsk:

I been finding them a lot lately in my area. Rewind a few years ago they were not available. I really should stock up on them before they go MIA. I think i have two in my freezer i bought 6 months ago.
