Has else anyone noticed Kingsford charcoal smelling like ... manure ... lately?

Is it the new "organic" blend maybe?....

I quit using it years ago cause of some foriegn material I found in a few bags. And the smell was off on some other bags. I started using Stubb's briquettes until it up and disappeared. Recently it has resurfaced branded under the Cowboy label. Tractor Supply carries it.

I read petrified poop is a pretty good fuel source. Just saying........

First...my compost does not smell like manure.

Kingsford smells crappy when lighting but is fine when fully lit (my experience) but it does not smell like manure.

It's not fit for a low and slow or a minion situation.
That's when I use lump or B&B briqs.
But the B&B have taken a turn for the worse lately.

I have had great results with the snake method using my WSM and a BBQ Guru Controller/Fan blower adapter kit.



Its been almost a decade since ive used it though.

If Kingsford goes downhill it might be time to finally pull the trigger on a stick burner.

You don't need an excuse to do that. JUST DO IT! :icon_devil
