Fig Wood

Anyone ever smoke with fig wood?

I have used a little. It's mild and smells like vanilla when burning. Didn't use it for the whole cook just at the start.

Is a mild sweet wood, I've mixed it with pecan and it was great!! Never used it by itself though...

I use it because...I own two trees. It has a funny sweet smell when it smokes but the end product is very nice. If you like a strong odor I would say go with something else. But for a real nice kiss of smoke it works.
