Discada de Pollo

Vic, Sweet set up, and the food looks great. Need to find me a couple of those p[low disks.

(I need another project).:icon_shock1:

P.S. Tapatio here!!

My sister bought a nice set up with the stand and the disco over at the Santa Fe Springs Swapmeet. They have a few different set ups.

As far as the ideal size. I have no clue. I have seem some pretty large ones and some real small ones. The plow disks seem to be a good idea. I would imagine like 18 to 25 inches wide is a good size. Some are deeper than others. Luckily, we have the swapmeet out here that has different ones available.

Around here The Hispanic Folks call those metal plates Comals. They sell them at a Mexican store near My place for about $14.00. They also sell the propane burners but those can be had anywhere. I've been dreaming of an all-in-one BBQ rig that would include a bbq pit with an adjustable grill, a smoker box and a comal.

My fav hot sauce is Pico Pica. No vinegar!

Very interesting. Functionally, the piscada is like a very thick (1/4") shallow wok. At 22" it's huge. Would be great for crowd cooking.
