Almost impossible to find that quality of meat here in San Diego unless I want to pay 25 bucks/lb.

Wow, very nice. There's a restaurant in Los Angeles, near Staples Center and in L.A. Live, called Rockin Fish that serves a "Tomahawk". I don't remember the size, but I believe it was over 30 oz, and that's what it looked like. It was awesome, and yes, I finished it. Even with the sides and some shrimp jambalaya appetizer. It was that good!
