The Aussie PURE BURGER
G'Day Bruces' :becky:
I've been seeing so many awesome entries here, that I just had to have a go! :thumb: Winning, losing, whatever,... does not matter one shred here. I just wanted to participate. :clap2:
It's been quite a while since I entered a TD... but not through choice. I've been a busy SmokinAussie this year and you entries have inspired me :clap::clap:
Last time I entered a Burger, it was stacked a mile high. I won the TD....
This time... I'm going Pure and Simple thanks to the Brethren.
I Started with a Chuckie and Some Beef Short Rib..
I deboned the short rib and ended up with this...
Then I added the same weight of Chuck Steak... mmmmmmmm... and added some salt and pepper..
Passed both cuts through the grinder on a 3/8 plate ( the largest I have).
Cooked up a sample for a taste test...

Then ran it through the grinder a second time using the same plate.
Then I weighed these out to 8 Oz Patties:
Perfect...
I ended up with 12 of these Monsters!:biggrin1:
I prepared the Performer for an indirect Burger grill... with a short sear at the end..
Which resulted in this...:becky:
Which is what I was after... look at the juices on that Burger!!! :thumb:

The the burgers got a quick direct sear..
And were rested with some simple cheddar cheese.
I toasted some buns...
And assembled a PURE AUSSIE BURGER....
Purely, I wanted the burger to speak for itself. The Short Rib and Chuckie mix, with nothing but Salt and Pepper, was awesome...
Never before, have I had a burger that tasted of real steak

I kept the rest very simple... Bread Roll, PURE BURGER... Cheese, Spanish Onion, Tomato, Iceburg Lettuce... No sauce.
Let the Burger speak for itself..:thumb:
Thanks for looking... And thanks for the inspiration..
You guys are awesome!
Cheers!
