Hey everyone back again like I promised I would be, even with comments like “see you in another 4 years” lol. Today is Sunday and whilst the woman is doing chores I’m taking care of dinner. Grabbed up 3 nice racks of baby backs at my local Walmart labeled “Smithfield extra meaty”. So decided to throw them on the Akorn and give them a whirl. Picture is about 1.5 hrs into cook time over cowboy lump and hickory chunks. Will keep updated as the cook goes on. Also, idk about all Walmart’s, but all the local ones in ny have 30lb bags of lump charcoal on sale for less than 10$ (9.97?). Anyway thought it was a good deal so I scooped up a bag.

I agree with the Panther above about the Cherry Coke bit, but I have seen and used a Cheerwine-based sauce as a glaze before (with really nice results).

Good looking ribs thus far... looking forward to the photo finish.
