That was an absolutely great contest. It was our third one and it was the first that we felt comfortable and at ease nearly the whole time. We ended up partying, laughing, and just having a great time this time. The bbq community is definitely one of a kind. The venue was absolutely beautiful and the resort staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.
That first place call in brisket has had Bekke and I smiling all day today. It was an incredible feeling to think you bombed and then bam! Maybe it was the pre turn in shot over at Rythem and Que with Vince and Alexa. Everything just clicked. We look forward to seeing everyone out at Pulte and thanks to everyone that gave us advice, tidbits, and congrats.
