We've used slices in our turn boxes before. Presentation scores do very well. You have to be very careful about the slices drying out. Sliced pork can dry out in the time it takes for your box to finally make it to the judges plate. That will kill you where it counts - taste and tenderness. We got very poor scores once on pork we thought was one of our best and figured it must have been due to the slices drying out some. We've since learned ways to keep it moister, but hesitate to try slices again.
