There could be a million excuses as of why he is dodging you totally know. Yes it sucks being out the money and most of all time. But you are doing the right thing, and doing it right and lawfully takes forever. Take the time to do it right and be relieved when it is over.

When you are ripping off people for thier $$ you are looking over your shoulder for who ever is coming after your ass. This is not his first rodeo and will keep ripping off people as long as he can. Here is hopeing the legal system helps you and not him (the bad guy always has more rights than the good guy).

Surely he must know that this thread exist here on the bretheren. If he is legit and wants to stay in business he would be all over this defending himself and his business. This is a wake up call to me. I am so sorry you must deal with this. I once had an adjacent land owner cut timber next to mine. He and the logging crew did not honor the property line that was marked and flagged. All that was asked of them was to pay for the timber that was harvested from my property. Long story short he refused to pay me. I put a judgement on his property. Some 20 years later he calls and settles up because he is selling his property and can't because of the judgement. Put a judgement on his real property and sit back and wait. It will work it's way out if you can be patient.

Sorry for all the trouble, have you checked out El Rey Smokers in Mansfield Tx? He is the R in R&O and doing great work, I bought an old R&O backyard model that Robbie designed but he was already gone at that point when I bought it. He has made pits for Mo Cason and Meat Church, from what I understand he had a falling out with Billy and started his own business, seems to be doing well, hope you get everything back on track, good luck

One small problem is that at this point, neither your nor I KNOW that OP has been ripped off. Has it been a ****ty ordeal ? Definitely. Is it bad business practice by R & O ? Most definitely. At this point, that's about all you can definitely say.

I've been watching this thread for a while. I'm afraid you're more than likely to find out there are others in the same boat as you with this company. He's obviously "robbing Peter to pay Paul".

As others have mentioned you more than likely keep getting bumped due to being the less noisy of several "squeaky wheels".

No better than a common thief with some fabricating skills. His lack of response, to both you as a customer, and this thread shows that he simply does not care. Get an attorney or the sheriff involved if you can. Playtime is over.

Kind of think that there are some presumptions being made. Celrodtx's post history shows that he uses a Traeger for smoking. Seems kind of out of place if he was a pit builder.
