Well Paul has struck again and has turned another awesome smoker; he built me a 24 x 60 reverse flow smoker with warmer. I contacted him a while back and got on the waiting list. He stayed in contact with me the entire time and let me know that he was getting closer to my build date. Paul took the time to answer any questions I had or currently have, especially since this is my first stick burner. His family is awesome also, when I went to pick up the smoker his Wife & Tyler both greeted us and just talked to us like they knew us for years.

His customer service, along with attention to detail is what makes me a happy customer. He also worked with me on all the additional things I wanted like the stainless steel shelf. Most people would have built a frame for the shelf and threw some thin stainless steel on top. Paul didn’t even think of doing anything like that, he built me a removable stainless steel front shelf out of 11-gauge stainless steel that sits 2+ inches away from the cooker. This allows me to sit heavy wide pans down and not even worry.

I don’t want this to get too long, so here are the pictures of my cooker. If anyone has any questions about dealing with Shirley Fabrication or on my smoker, ask away in this thread or PM me if you want.

I will do business with Paul again in the future for sure!!!!

That's awesome! I bet you're going to love cooking on it. If things work out, this California boy will be visiting Paul within the next two weeks. I can't wait to see some of their work and meet the folks behind this great small business.

I was thinking the other day.... If Paul only offered a welding and fabrication class. I'd love to learn more about fabrication from these guys, since I used to do a little fabrication on the side and still have most all of my equipment from my old shop. That would be like the ultimate training class for me. :)

5000 times per day someone screams "BUILD A UDS" and you didn't listen to a one of them. Good for you!!! congratulations.

That's a cool unit

I finished seasoning it today and cooked up some chicken wings with BPS Sweet Money Rub. The wings tasted wonderful with the perfect amount of smoke flavor.

Ohh and the Shirley Fab pit produces that nice thin blue on occasion , but I found it producing some good flowing heat with a faint hint of smoke out the smoke stack (once your coal bed is established).
