Open a BBQ restaurant, they said. It will be fun, they said

Trying out some marubozo pickles...will see how they turned out tomorrow and Sunday!

You won't be disappointed!

In other news, I think I need to fire the new guy tomorrow. I knew the writing was on the wall, but the rest of my staff is about ready for mutiny. I farking dread this part of the job. But I need to just rip the bandaid off and get it over with.

Thanks everyone. Hard day for the staff today but better.

To get my mind off things I went and finally did this tonight:

What's up with the pentagram?

I know this isn't your first rodeo in terms of managing people, but keep in mind this is a public site with a lot of traffic and it comes up VERY high in Google searches. I would hate to see you get hit with an unfair labor lawsuit or have unemployment claim troubles because someone found something posted online.

Jeremy, So many have said how great this thread is and I AGREE WITH THEM TO THE TENTH POWER. I am sure it has been tough these last few days but hopefully writing on here will be some therapy for you.

Please keep this thread going! We all just love it!!! You, your employees, and the person's family are in my thoughts!!!!

Jeremy, if you ever get to a place, where we can order your barbecue online, I'd order some. As much as I would like to eat there in person and shake your hand, it would still be cheaper than flying or driving to Michigan.

When I Googled for barbeque online, I was surprised by the number of places that ship their barbecue. Some of the iconic places like Blacks, Snows, and Kreuz Market.

FoodyDirect has very good shipping prices. So, Jeremy, there is hope for us in the future who can't get to your establishment. Many of us want to support your business not only for your food, but because of your character.

Jeremy, I know you have your hands full with BBQ, but if there is any way that you could get some t-shirts up for sale online, maybe on eBay, I'm sure you would sell a ton of them. I know I would buy one. Maybe that is something that your wife or a friend could help you with. Just a thought.

Two very good ideas.

My uncle has a locally famous pizza joint that ships pizza across the country. I should get with him one of these days to see how he handles that.

And I do really want to get shirts online for sale. Before I do that, I could certainly do a brethren only sale for now for those of you who want one. Right now I think I've only got medium through XL

Why? why does a BBQ place offer medium shirts at all?

Are you not familiar with the BBQ sizing chart? BBQ L is the smallest size that should be offered.

Perhaps he is marketing the Mediums for those who have never eaten at Prized Pig before... He sells a combo pack M and XL... M for the customers when they first come to the restaurant, and then they can transition to XL after they become regulars

Even for a Brethren only sale, you would sell a lot more shirts if you could set up online someplace like eBay where anybody with a Paypal account can order a shirt with a few clicks instead of having to mail a check, call you with a credit card number, etc.

That would make things much easier for you, too. Of course, eBay would take their little cut, but you will more than make up for it in the vastly increased number of sales.

If you end up doing that, you better stock up on shirts. I think you will be surprised how many orders you will get.

For every one of the hundred or more Brethren who have posted in this thread since it started, there are many more Brethren and lurkers who have read it but never posted. For example, at this moment there are 16 Brethren and 9 lurkers viewing this thread.
