2. my maverick et-732 (although the 733 might be in my future)
3. weber chimney starter
3. my weber style grill tongs( the best grill tongs I've ever found)
4. soon to be wife(1986 model) great for chopping and running things to you at clutch moments!

Hands down mine are:

Harbor Freight auto starting torch... light my coals with that 95% of the time now (weed torch if it's handy)

Thermoworks 20 dollar instant read. (Weber has one for 10 dollars i want to try.)

Oil soaked newspaper, alcohol soaked cotton balls, and weber cube thingies simply are too darn slowwww....

.. and my thermopop (orange is the best--has vanilla inside I've tasted), oxo tongs, hell's handle spatula, maverick 732, etc..

I've done beef, pork, chicken, pheasant, a couple of raccoons, but never dog. What recipe do you use? Do you go HnF or slow smoke?
