I like the lighting (that's a well-lit deck) and the rock retaining wall is awesome.

You think 10 lights is a little too much .

I probably went a little over board on that but we had this low voltage stuff on the other deck that always drove me crazy. We splurged on LED lighting and put all of them on a dimmer switch so we can tone it down when we want to.

I also had my guy run power where my egg is going to live so I can plug my guru in without running an extension cord. Lastly I took the opportunity to run speaker wire to every corner. Speakers will have to wait for awhile but when I can afford to I'll be ready.

I was going to compliment the lighting, too. Most outdoor spaces are too dark, if you ask me. Having them on a dimmer is brilliant! Genius work thinking through needing power near your egg and things like that... very thoughtful. You'll get lots of use out of that deck!

Good job. I noticed you had the necessary Minnesota snow shovel out just in case.

That looks fantastic!

I'm in the middle of fixing the same problem.
Mine was also 12 years old (when we bought our house), and was JUNK then (7 years ago) and serious JUNK now. Actually, it's in a big dumpster now in the driveway.

I'm replacing with a raised, stained concrete porch (and covering with roof extension).
Not as pretty as wood. Just less maintenance (hopefully).

Beautiful deck Ric! I hadn't thought about how the plastic material would weather...thanks for the info. Really like the under deck storage idea too.
Nice to see Miss Scarlett helping. :-D
