Quail on a Stick and Bacon Wrapped Brats

another meal while camping..
I wanted to just roast a few quail over the fire but someone wanted brats and that led to jalapenos and bacon and onions and kraut....anyway this is what we ended up with for supper.

the tractor rim...

whittled some sticks for the quail, seasoned them with Tatonka Dust..

wrapped a couple in bacon...

split the brats added jalapeno slivers then wrapped...

caramelized onions and kraut...
toasted some buns

bacon wrapped brat with onions and kraut..

my quail on a stick..

They were sooooo tasty! Just right for nibbling on while sitting by the campfire that night. I was a happy girl. :-D

Nice! I like the tractor rim weed-burner access hole for the quick start campfire.

But man that's a lot of digging to get the tractor buried in there sideways to use the rim for the fire:wink:
