Greetings Y'all,

New to the forum, but have been reading it for years. I've been smoking since about 2011. Started with a stick burner the first couple of years then switched to an electric Masterbuilt (due to a lack of time to always pay enough attention manually). Recently bought my first pellet smoker, a Pit-Boss vertical. Still getting use to it and learning its nuances. Mostly smoke butts and brisket, although I will do whole chickens and ribs once or twice a year.

Welcome Todd, Just start last year and use a propane vertical smoker, DynaGlo and also smoke mostly port butts and top round roast on sale to make my own roast beef. Perhaps someday will get a grinder and experiment making sausage and my own hamburger.
 
Welcome Todd from the Arizona deserts. This time of year we can cook meat by just throwing it on the sidewalk. Stick with the BBQ brethrens recipes and process though. They turn out better
