Our newest piece of test equipment just arrived at the Oakridge BBQ World Headquarters compound. A sparkling brand new Ole Hickory Pits CTO with the "Oakridge BBQ" option set. Man I can't wait to cook on this thing and get it dirty!!

I just returned home from a business trip to find my latest order of Oakridge rubs delivered - Secret Weapon and Santa Maria. If you’re low on rubs just send that baby down to OK and I’ll share mine.

My guess is that the Oakridge option will automatically apply a coating of my favoured Oakridge rub to whatever meat I put in it!!

The "Oakridge BBQ" option set is the following:

Gas Burner Switch (aka Comp Switch)
Pull-out ash pan tray
Probe portal
Charcal basket

Yes, with the options I chose, it can run on solid fuel (wood/charcoal) only, gas and solid fuel, or just gas (who the hell would ever do that??).

Got the smoker sanctuary all setup...

Ended up having to go with a 100 pound LP tank because she goes through some serious gas when getting warmed up...
